Fry Consultants represented Norrell Corporation, a global staffing company offering strategic outsourcing services, to negotiate the purchase of an Information Technology staffing firm that provided contract programming to such Fortune 500 companies as Coca-Cola, Georgia Pacific and IBM. Fry analyzed and valued the company as well as resolved cultural and human resources differences. The purchase was finalized and the business began operating as a Norrell division.

Fry completed a study of the multimedia market in the southeastern USA for a foreign government economic development agency. The study assisted the foreign agency in quantifying the market opportunity in the Southeast and with identifying strategic partners in the area.

Fry completed a multi-country Internet-based survey to evaluate the driving forces of the purchasing process of high-end computer workstations. The survey was used to determine the relative importance of product and service features, as well as the perceptions of workstations and work station manufacturers. Respondents were recruited in Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and the United Kingdom. Respondents completed the survey directly on the internet, and a conjoint analysis was performed on the downloaded data.

For an important IT staffing company, we completed a comprehensive marketing strategy study. Our efforts included staff, customer, former customer, and competitor interviews. Our recommendations included marketing to new market segments, reorienting sales efforts to serve the e-business economy more effectively, and emphasizing strategic customer relationship management.
